Craving Nasi Lemak, Bee Hoon, or Roti Prata with condensed milk? Missing in Singapore? Look no further as the simple delights of hawker style Singaporean food have arrived in Melbourne.

, has an extensive menu that includes breakfast favourites including Kaya toast and Teh Tarik; traditional dishes such as Hainanese Chicken Rice; Hawker dishes, Nasi Lemak, Curries, and Laksas, all under $12!

We started with fried carrot cake, not as I remembered, but a good starter to accompany a few Tigers. For mains, I opted for the Singapore seafood laksa - filled to the brim with fresh seafood and noodles, and a rich thick curry broth, with a serving size too large for even an insatiable hunger. My friend had the chicken curry with roti prata - juicy pieces of drumstick and the gravy so delicious, an extra serve of roti was ordered to soak up every drop.

[BREAK]At two locations, 108 Bourke Street, Melbourne (Mon-Sat: 11am - 10pm) and 114 Lygon Street, Carlton (Tue- Fri: 11.30am - 10pm; Sat - Sun: 11am - late), offers fast service, affordable hawker style Singaporean food, in a family friendly, casual atmosphere. Just missing the young coconut!
