Opening earlier this year, Kidz n Play is located in the Robina Super Centre, just outside the Town Centre. It's open everyday from 9am to 5pm and entry fee is based per child.
A safe, indoor play area for kids, coupled with a no-fuss cafe for parents, playcentres are too scarce on the Gold Coast. So it's no surprise that this family-run business, with a laid back and friendly atmosphere, has been popular with local parents and mother's groups (who get a 20% discount when booking 5 or more mums) since it opened in April.
I found Kidz n Play through a desperate web search one day, after realising public parks just weren't cutting it. Kidz n Play is safe, with age-specific play areas, is fully fenced, air-conditioned and has an onsite cafe: a godsend for tired mums.
Under 4's have a ground-level play area, with padded floor, a range of activities and small slide. For 3 to 12 year olds there's a 3-level maze-like playground, with trampoline, ball pit, the ever-popular double slide and a bunch of other kiddy activities that I can't name.
However, I do know coffee and there's enough drinks and snacks at a reasonable price to keep everyone happy.
There's plenty of parking, right at the door and for those catching the bus, it's situated on the well-serviced Robina Town Centre Drive and in walking distance from the major shopping centre.
Weekends are a hive of activity and noise, so if you're after a more peaceful playdate, come during the week. And don't forget your socks; otherwise you can purchase them at the door.
