The Melbourne Festival is held each year over the month of October and provides an array of local and international arts events in various locations across Melbourne.

The middle weekend of the program features a Kids Weekend - for budding artists and creative children.

An abundance of activities to keep children of all ages amused include the :-

Children's book market featuring both new and preloved books;

Pop Up Patch where children can get a taste of gardening and planting and take home some free samples;

Trailblazer, an interactive children's playground trail experience developed by the Polygot Theatre where all ages can explore and let their imaginations run wild;

Other event features include Live Illustration [/b]where children can meet a variety of book illustrators, Earworms** a comedy podcast for ages 5 and above, or you can purchase tickets to see [b]Fantastic Mr Fox [/b] (rated PG).

Cost: Various free event activities, ACMI movie $7 per person or $5 for ACMI Members.
