These holidays are going to suck-ulent
School holidays are getting succulent. When the kids get bored and you're desperate for a little peace and quiet, sign your children up to a Succulent Bowl Workshop. Succulents are beautiful, easy to take care of and help kids to earn some inner peace as well.
Succulents aren't without their problems, they don't like too much water, but like sunlight. They can be hardy and survive even those of us that aren't gifted with a green thumb. They can flower, be spiky and sprout new baby succulents randomly. Each and every plant is different. And you are going to have to sing to the plants and talk to them if you want them to really thrive.
In this workshop, kids will be able to design their own bowl in whatever way they want to design it. Then they will get the chance to plant the little succulent in their new bowl themselves. They will get hands-on, get dirty and really love the feeling of the warm earth under their nails. At the end of the class, they will take the succulent in the bowl home with them. They will also have a care guide so that the whole family will understand how to get that succulent to grow as big as possible.
While the classes are aimed at kids over 5, everyone is welcome. Adults can come and watch or even participate and get their own succulent in a bowl to take home. Everything you will need to take part is provided, just bring your willingness to learn. And also $65 as that is how much classes will cost per person. Head to Coast Eden in Peppermint green (Joondalup) on Tuesday July 12th between 2pm and 3pm for a beautiful succulent afternoon.
