Trying to keep your children occupied during the school holidays can be a little tricky, especially if you need to work or have other commitments. Here are some great school holiday programs being offered on the northern beaches.

Star Sports Camps

Star Sports Camps is running a soccer clinic for boys and girls aged 5-14 years. Full day (9am 3pm) and half day (9am 12 noon) programs are available. For children 5-6 years the workshop involves basic fun ball skills with the ball to develop coordination and fundamentals of soccer in small sided & group games. Juniors aged 7-8 are taught advanced skill development and ball mastery with sportsmanship and rules and seniors aged 9 years are taught to improve technique and tactics through movement games and skill reinforcement.
Cost: Full day - $60, Half day - $35

Cheeky Monkeys

Cheeky Monkeys at Mona Vale offers great holiday programs with exciting adventures including ten pin bowling, master chef day, party day, science day, movie day and so much more. Full day care extends from 8am to 6pm and short day care is from 9am to 3pm.
Cost: Long day - $60, Short day - $50

Pittwater Sports Centre

Open between 7am 6pm, Pittwater Sports Centre is running some fun holiday workshops including Fitnastics fun, dance, laser tag, skating and sandbucket. All meals are provided.
Cost: $75 per day

If you have younger children, the centre runs a Kindy Adventures program for 3-4 year olds, which is a half day program in which children develop basic motor and KindyGym skills.

Goodwin's Tennis Academy

Goodwin's Tennis Academy offers full day tennis camp (from 9am 3pm) or half day camp (9am 12.30pm). At the beginning of each day students are graded and grouped according to their skill and age. During the morning session children are taught new skills, which they get to practice in the afternoon single and double matches. Children should bring a racquet if they have one, hat and sunscreen and also food for recess and lunch and drinks.
Cost: Full day - $40, Half day - $30

Sporty Little Munchkins

Sporty Little Munchkins run school holiday fun camps for children aged 4-9 years. Each day camp is filled with a variety of sporting activities and games including soccer, t-ball, hockey, cricket, golf and tennis. Children need to wear comfortable clothes and runners and bring snacks, drinks and lunch. Cost is $30 for half a day and $40 for full day.

Sports Fundamentals

Sports Fundamentals holiday camps focus on the following activities: tennis, cricket, basketball, t-ball, soccer, football, hockey and obstacle courses. The camps run at Neutral bay, Freshwater, Matraville and Moore Park. Half days are from 9.30am 1pm and full days from 8.30am 3pm and suitable for children aged 3-8 years.
Cost: $50 for half day, $60 for full day

Camp Kedron

Camp Kedron run week long camps from Sunday afternoon till Friday afternoon. An action packed week of excitement is guaranteed with camps including activities such as games, craft, indoor sports, indoor climbing, abseiling, waterskiing, boating, canoeing, surfing, trampolining, swimming, windsurfing, soccer, archery, waterslides, campfire, concerts, dress-up nights and much more.
Cost: $195 for the whole week

Warringah Council

Warringah Council runs a number of vacation care centres including Allambie Vacation Care, Beacon Hill Vacation Care, Cromer Vacation Care, Forestville Vacation Care and Harbord Vacation Care. Children enjoy centre-based activities including arts and crafts, games and sports as well as excursions to a number of venues around Sydney. Vacation care is suitable for children aged 5-12 years.

Manly Council

Manly Council offers vacation care between 7.30am 6pm for children aged 5-12 years. Activities include crafts, movies, sports and offsite excursions.
