Who wouldn't want to be at a magical ball and be the lucky one to catch the eye of a prince charming? If you are a charming prince, wouldn't you want to take your lady's hand and walk into the enchantment of a grand ball?
The upcoming ball hosted in Sydney by Kids of Oz surely is designed to give singles, couples and families alike the chance to enjoy an evening of grandeur while supporting a worthy cause.
The event this year, which the organisers have themed as a Disney ball where you have the liberty of coming dressed up as your favourite Disney character, will be held on Saturday the 13th of June.
Adding enchantment to the night, which is already promising to be the grandest ball Sydney has seen in years, is the beauty of the chosen venue - Waterview, 1 Bicentennial Drive, Sydney Olympic Park. With sprawling views of ponds, lakes and parklands. Water View truly is a place for magic to happen.
Though fun and laughter are on the agenda, it's not all that is promised by this gala event. The magic of the night will pave way to making dreams come true for many underprivileged kids in our society.
The organisers of the ball, Kids of Oz, a not for profit organisation which was founded by Norma Needham, is a charity that is on a mission to improve the lives of the children in our communities with a special focus on indigenous children.
The organisation achieves this through supporting five charities, namely Barnardos Children, The Children's Hospital At Westmead, Bear Cottage, Indigenous childhood Anemia and Tennant Creek Hospital. All proceeds from this year's ball too will be directed towards making the lives of disadvantaged children that much better.
The Disney character themed ball is set to start off at 6.30pm with all the glitz and glamour of Cinderellas, Snow Whites and Sleeping Beauties and even Rapunzels, Tinker Bells and Minnies and their charming princes in attendance. With all the promised entertainment, food, drinks and an open dance floor. Be warned, you will not want to dash out at the stroke of midnight, leaving your glass slipper behind.
