Held in the grounds of the Abbey Museum , this will be the perfect event to keep the kids excited over the winter school holidays.
Part of the Abbey Medieval Festival week, this is a day just for the kids. They are encouraged to dress up in medieval costumes (maybe even join in the parade) and be prepared to step back in time.

Brave 3-12 year olds will have the opportunity to try stilt walking, trebuchet firing, learn the Knight's Code of Honour, medieval games, making flower garlands, swords and shields, storytelling from long ago and much more.
Kids Workshops:
There are plenty of workshops for mini-knights and princesses - just be sure to book in beforehand via the website for:
Medieval Excavations
Knights Training
Junior Jousting
Archery
Gypsy Dancing
Medieval Pottery

"Medieval" food and drink will be available on the day, or you can take your own medieval picnic. Maybe come along on the weekend as well for the Abbey Medieval Tournament or Grand Banquet .
