Kids in the Kitchen: Make Rainbow Truffles

If your child is interested in cooking but you want to start off with something easy, then spark their interest by making no-bake truffles. They can measure all the ingredients themselves and then get their hands messy as they roll the balls up. My daughter made this recipe at her school and she loved doing it so much, that she wanted to make them at home. (For healthier recipes, also check out the article

Have fun and prepare for it to get messy!
Ingredients:
**125g digestive biscuits (half a pack)
1/2 a 395g can of condensed milk
1 cup desiccated coconut
2 Tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup of Hundreds & Thousands**
* If you choose to double up the whole recipe to use up the remainder biscuits and condensed milk, remove a handful of biscuit crumbs from the mix so it isn't too dry.
What To Do:
Step 1: Place digestive biscuits into a large zip-lock bag, remove the air and then bash with a wooden spoon or rolling pin on a chopping board. Kids love this step! Place the crumbs into a large bowl.
**
Step 2:** Add to the bowl the remaining ingredients and mix together with a spoon.
Step 3: Using your hands, roll small amounts into balls and place them on a plate (if your hands get sticky, wash them and roll balls with damp hands).
Step 4: Roll the balls in the Hundreds & Thousands and that's it! Quick and easy!
