Kids FREE Admission to a host of tourist attractions
Nothing beats a family holiday in Florida and until October 13, families can explore Florida Keys attractions, tours, watersports and other offerings with a program that provides free admission for children age 12 or younger.
Families can visit KidsFreeFloridaKeys.com to download coupons for visits to nature-themed and historic attractions, restaurants and activities ranging from the usually expensive helicopter sightseeing tours to glass-bottom boat eco-tours and snorkel excursions. The site features links to participating businesses and information about their offerings.
Each child must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.
Participating Kids Free attractions and museums in Key West include the Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory, Fort East Martello, Conch Tour Train, Key West Aquarium, Old Town Trolley Tours, Key West Lighthouse, Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden, Sails to Rails Museum and the Oldest House Museum and Gardens.
Among other Key West offerings are multiple watersports excursions and unique experiences with Key West Food Tours and the Southernmost Scavenger Hunt.
Middle and Upper Keys participants include Dolphin Research Center, the Turtle Hospital, Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters and the History of Diving Museum. In addition, families can enjoy oTHErside Boardsports' paddle or kayak eco-tours, and snorkel or dive experiences from Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Center.
Also available are restaurant offers and gifts for kids from hotels.
While certainly not free, Florida also has some seriously good theme parks such as Universal Orlando, Seaworld Orlando, and Legoland Florida. But even here you can purchase discount tickets that offer excellent savings for families. Click here.
