On Friday 14th April 2017, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is going to be transformed into a giant play space for both older and younger kids alike (aka everybody). A real life wonderland, your involvement in this event will also be in aid of a very worthy cause. The Kids Day Out is being held in support of the Good Friday Royal Children's Hospital Appeal. What better motivation do you need to get involved and have heaps of fun?
Entry to the Kids Day Out is free, then each activity once inside is participation by donation. Some of the events you can enjoy include Race Your Mates on the Little Athletics racetrack, a teddy bear check-up in the Teddy Bear's Hospital with the help of Build a Bear. Bring along your own teddy for a check up and/or take a new one home. There'll be a roller skating rink for some roller disco fun, carnival rides, bouncing and giant inflatables, Bubble Muffin Kids cooking workshops, an emergency services display complete with fire engines and the opportunity to learn some lifesaving CPR skills, Harley Davidson and Mustang convertible rides, dance classes, Bollywood dance classes and karaoke. Be a star. Classic cars display, Lego play and a cultural display.
The Good Friday Appeal will be broadcasting live from the MCEC and adults will love the Smooth FM chill-out zone complete with massage tables.
Organisers are expecting over 80,000 people to attend this event and everyone is welcome.
Kids Day Out 2017 is being held on Friday 14th April 2017 from 10am to 5pm at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), located at 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf, Melbourne.
