Banyule City Council is holding the
on Sunday 23 March 2014 at Sills Bend at the Warringal Parklands in Heidelberg (off Beverley Road).
The festival commences at 11am and concludes at 4pm and entry to this event is free and there are free activities to enjoy. Bring the kids and have a day of adventures, and fun activities for all, but especially the kids.
Kids can have their face painted, or they can even paint their parents faces too - a wonderful chance to be creative. They can learn to play a giant musical instrument, learn to play a gum leaf, or learn to dance.
Other activities include the opportunity to learn how to hula hoop and juggle so you can pretend you are at the circus for the day, become an author, climb high, build a city or help create a giant piece of art work. The activities are all designed for kids and kids of all ages.
Chill out on the lawn and watch the various performers on stage - from dance to rock music for kids and everything in between.
Come along to Burgundy Street, Heidlberg for the Grand Parade between 10am and 11am and experience the parade which this year is entitled
Land of Giants.
For the full event program and performance times, visit the
Banyule website or download the
event flyer .
Sills Bend is situated on the Main Yarra Trail. Hop on your bike and ride to the festival and enjoy the free supervised bike parking provided by the Banyule Bicycle Users Group. If you are coming from further afield, utilise public transport and catch a Hurstbridge line train to Heidelberg train station which is a short walk to Burgundy Street for the parade.
Come along for a great day out.
