The fun for kids at APT8 has begun. Young folk from preschoolers to high school teens lapped up the host of interactive artworks on display as well as the hands on art and technology experiences at the opening party.



All could relate to the exhibit of artworks by Myanmar children celebrating the importance of family.



Every child loves dress ups, particularly when superheroes are involved. Hetain Patel took photos of children doing this to inspire young gallery visitors to do likewise. The visitors' photos can be uploaded to social media and will be used in a digital display at GOMA.

"Play with your Birds" by Rosanna Raymond allows children (and adults) to make their own tiputa, a poncho-like garment from Tahiti. The basic shapes are provided and these can be decorated through rubbings of traditional carved patterns.



Technology has been an integral part of GOMA activity offerings for some years. Uudam Tran Nguyen invites children to connect via joysticks, which result in a digital drawing which can be transmitted over long distances. No need to visit the gallery in person to achieve this – many activities can be accessed on the Gallery's website .



Yelena and Viktor Vorobyev offer the opportunity to transform green tomatoes into watermelons with a few strokes of a black pen. There is also a selection of fruit and vegetable templates available for transforming into something completely different using a variety of coloured pens.



Have you ever seen the TOP of your head? Undoubtedly a few male adults will be searching for potential bald spots in this fun interactive installation "looking Back 2015" by Angela Tiatia.
Children and adults alike are able to see their bodies from a different unfamiliar aspect.



An immersive black-lit space allows children to display their own mythical characters made up of different physical attributes.


As well as specifically designed activities for children, there are artworks which challenge their thought processes.
