Kickboxing is a fun way to get exercise and learn some basic self-defense skills, too. Take advantage of one of the many kickboxing classes offered in the City to get fit.

NY San Da

NY San Da offers classes in kickboxing (Muy/Thai) as well as Brazilian Jujitsu. You can also learn mixed martial arts. No matter where you're living—Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, or even if you're staying in New Jersey, you can find a NY San Da class near you.

Tiger Schulmann's Kickboxing and Martial Arts

This organization offers a unique form of martial arts training. It includes kickboxing, but the owner, Daniel "Tiger" Schulmann, has taken that as well as other martial arts methods and incorporated into a style that is an original. He is the only one that teaches his form of kickboxing/martial arts, so if you want to learn something new, you will enjoy taking lessons from him.

Tiger Schulmann schools are located in Manhattan, Brooklyn (in Bensonhurst) Rego Park in Queens, and Staten Island. All of these are boroughs in New York City, so no matter where you live in New York, you can find somewhere to start kickboxing.
