A big breakfast & big blowhole
If you're looking for a relaxed day trip or family outing why not try a little seaside town known as Kiama. Just an hour south of Wollongong, Kiama is a peaceful and gorgeous place to spend on both a rainy and sunny day.

When going there recently, we checked in at Blowhole Point by the Anzac memorial lighthouse. There are two natural blowholes to be in awe over, pretty simple to locate the 'Big Blowhole' as well as it's just a short walk past the lighthouse and you are able to watch this natural wonder in action. It's important to remember to stay off the rocks surrounding the blowhole as it can be unpredictable with tides. And on the mentioning of tides, plan ahead so you can then watch the blowhole in full action! The 'little blowhole' is just a short walk from the cliff and lighthouse but is still an absolute sight to see.

Not only is there Blowhole point to take a walk through and observe the two natural blowholes but there are so many other aquatic past times to be enjoyed at Kiama and in this spot. There is a saltwater pool on the edge of the ocean free to all residents and people passing by and just a short walk away from the beach makes Blowhole point an ideal place for a day trip.

Before starting the day enjoying all that Kiama has to offer do yourself a favour and head to 'Milk & Honey'. This cafe is right next to the information desk at Blowhole point and is one of the nicest places I've ever been to, too have breakfast with a view of the ocean. It is open all seven days for breakfast and lunch and serves the best Allpress coffee as well. My experience was so enjoyable as even though the place does get busy, especially on the weekend, the service is fast and so friendly. From the counter until the end of your meal the friendly baristas, waiters and waitresses take extra good care of you. Plus if you are a fan of Eggs Benedict, like I am, be sure to give theirs a go. This place is your go-to Cafe if you want to be amazed at still having bacon and salmon left on your plate due to the perfect sized portions for such an affordable price!
