I am a mum of two and Primary School teacher whose aim is to never be home during the midday movie. I believe that I am only ever a car trip away from an adventure.

Me want cookie, Me eat cookie
From the crumb filled mouth of the worlds most famous cookie expert Cookie Monster, "Me want cookie!", "Me eat cookie!" Who doesn't right? Yes sure we all know it's a "some time food" and I tell my kids and my willpower that all the time, but let's face it, cookies are a very important part of most peoples day. Dunking anything but a cookie into a hot glass of milk is just not right and I do believe that cookies and cream were married together to make ice cream for a very deliberate purpose. Cookies are wonderful. Choc chip, cream filled, dotty, gingerbread, vanilla, muesli, shortbread....my tummy is rumbling.
The hardest part is making a decision.
If you too are a cookie lover or you just like having them in the house in case a visitor suddenly pops round for a cup of tea then you should to head to Kez's Seconds Retail Shop in Noble Park. This place is a cookie gourmets dream and what's best is that everything is sold at unbelievably tasty prices starting from as low as 50c to $2 to $30 for a cafe style jar full. You might be aware of the brand and some of their fantastic products like Melting Moments, Vienna Eclairs and Florentines which are readily available at local supermarkets, delis and cafes.
Snack size, bite size and in your pocket size.
However convenient that may be, a trip to the seconds store will keep money in your wallet and your cookie jar full. There are baskets and shelves galore stocking all the classics and all your favourites in singles, packs, boxes and even jars. Most varieties come with a container of samples to test before you buy which means you'll never go shopping here hungry. It takes a lot of willpower to not over consume the samples though especially seeing as many are full sized biscuits not just broken up crumbs.
Most items are close to out-of-date or have a few months left before expiry. Some of the mince pies and Christmas stars I was looking at today had until March next year. I take my hat off to you if they survive that long in your pantry! All Kez's products are made in Australia using the highest of ingredients with no added preservatives. They use premium butter in both their gourmet and premium ranges and you can taste it in every scrumptious bite.
And just because you are gluten free or dairy free doesn't mean you can't indulge as well with Kez offering a massive range just for you. In fact, all the delicious delights such as Almond Toffee biscuits, Fruit Mince Pies and Melting Moments come in either gluten or dairy free or both. And they make a special range of delicious cereals and snack bars gluten free as well and some varieties are low in fructose too. Everyone's happy now. You can check out and download the specifications of most of their products online to help you make the best choices for you and your loved ones.
One for me, one for a gift.
With prices so low and aromas so strong it's hard to imagine you would need any more incentive to visit but there is. You can also sign up for a loyalty card and receive a further 10% off the total of your purchases from then on. I left with a bag full of goodies for just over $10 and I can confidently say that I wont even notice if someone puts their hand into the cookie jar as it is well stocked. Although I am happy to have an excuse to go back and get some more Ginger, Oat and Apple cookies to stash away.
