The Rockhampton and District Historical Society will be having a guest speaker, Kevin Lambkin, on Saturday 6 July 2024, starting at 2 pm to 3.30 pm, at Borough Chambers Building , Stapleton Park , Bridge Street, Berserker, (near PCYC near old bridge). Kevin Lambkin will discuss The Lucas Prize Medal for the Rockhampton North State School 1884-1892’ Kevin will talk about the history of the school and the medal’s donor, Edward Seymour Lucas, the three Rockhampton jewellers who made the medal, and the lives of four of the medal’s winners.
