Since Kerabu opened in 2012, it has been a huge success. Serving Malaysian and Thai food, the menu is simply fantastic and the service very friendly.
I'm not quite sure where to start with the menu because everything is just so full of flavour and life. At the risk of sounding like an ignorant Aussie pretending to know her Asian cuisine, I have to say that is it some of the most authentic food I've eaten in some time. I'd also have to say that although the menu is limited for vegetarians (like myself), the Gang Dang Puk Ruam and the Pad Thai are real winners - there is no need for more variety!
For those of you who enjoy meat, I can't speak for myself, but I hear that the Nahm Jim Snapper is fantastic, (you can't really go wrong with whole fish!) as is the Sesame Crusted Duck. I suppose that I'm not the most reliable source on that, but I promise that there is something on the menu for everyone.
The one downside of such a popular establishment would have to be the business. Bookings are essential most nights and as such the noise level can be quite extreme, however this makes for a great atmosphere for a celebration. The staff are all very pleasant, but as a result of the popularity, there are some nights that you wait a bit longer than you'd wish for service.
This said, the food really is spectacular and the service is usually most adequate. The waiters are happy to guarantee that your meal is gluten free/vegetarian, which is great for those of us with dietary requirements.
