Located on Yeppoon's busy main drag, 8 James Street Yeppoon, this small bakery has a big reputation amongst locals as the best pie in town.







Entering this bakery, there is a big glass display full of yummy goodies and pies. There was a rack by the front door full of fresh loaves of bread. At the front counter by the cash register, there was also a coffee machine ready for customers.





The two young ladies behind the counter were busy serving some customers so we had to wait a bit until our turn to be served. There were not many choices of pies left as we arrived about 30 minutes before their closing time for that day. We could see some Chicken Mornay pies, Mexican pies, Chicken leek and brie pies and a couple of other choices still in the display glass cabinet. I put my bet on Mexican pies and put my fingers crossed behind my back, hoping no one would get it before me.



I was lucky that day and I could get the Mexican pies. My choice wasn't disappointing at all. The pastries were very crunchy. I opened the top pastries and I could see steam coming out. I put tomato sauce on top, but after one bite, I realised it didn't need any sauce at all as it was rich with flavour.

Besides serving coffee, they also have some choices of cold drinks as well as water bottles. We sat out on the bakery's verandah. They have a couple of tables inside the bakery too. As we sat and enjoyed our pies, I was wondering if I still could fit in any sweets after my pie. The pie was quite huge, but I think I still could fit one finger bun.

only uses meat from local butcher Yeppoon Central Meats as they only serve their best meat cuts. also provides catering for special events and their specialties are sandwiches and hot pastries as well as fruit and sweet platters.
