There is a hidden gem located in Melbourne's GPO. It's called Kenzan, a wonderful Japanese restaurant situated at 28g/350 Bourke St, Melbourne.

This causal dining establishment is the little sister to the upmarket Kenzan restaurant in 45 Collins Street, and offers quality authentic Japanese cuisine at affordable prices.

This a great joint to indulge in a large range of fresh sushi or for a quick yet satisfying Ramen noodle soup. You can also choose a bento box or set menu, or perhaps venture towards a Soba noodle dish or Donburi dish. The prices range from as little as $9 to $20 for a main.

Service is great and the establishment is wonderfully decorated and spacious.

This is great find for a midweek lunch or for a relaxing weekend. Open Monday to Saturday (11am-5.00pm) and Thursday to Friday (5.00-9.30pm).
