Highly Recommend Olympics is The Kentmere Club. A random drive over the weekend and a road sign that declared "now open to the public" was how my partner and I ended up derailing our plans to enjoy the lush surroundings of Tigoni in favour of checking out The Kentmere Club.
It's no surprise that their grounds are stunning - this is standard procedure for that part of Nairobi.

The Kentmere Club used to be an exclusive members-only club but has recently opened its doors to the public - which means you can enjoy the bar, restaurant or accommodation.
We were especially happy to hear that the restaurant was open, given we have experienced weeks of lockdown, where a majority of restaurants are only accepting take away orders. For starters, my partner had a beef consommé soup, which frankly didn't look great but tasted better than it looked.

For our mains, we had the pepper beef steak and the duck, both of which were extremely tasty and so well prepared.

The food was very fresh and the steak was a great combination of tender and juicy, cooked to perfection.

I especially enjoyed my duck and would order that again and again. We also got to view one of the rooms on the property and satisfied our curiosity in relation to how the rooms look inside.
I also really enjoyed the architecture of the venue - it gave me Texan saloon vibes.
I can say we are definitely going to return for a meal or a drink - or just to stare at the beautiful grounds!

The evenings in Tigoni can get pretty chilly, so make sure you dress accordingly.
