A fete not to be missed
Kensington Primary School runs a fete every five years as its major fundraising event and this year is their 90th anniversary of the school's opening.

On Saturday the 29th of October 2016 from 2pm to 7pm you will be able to join in the festivities where you can enjoy the great live entertainment and food. There will be stalls that include family favourites with pre-loved books, clothing and toys.

Maybe you would like to create and race a solar car or a pottery masterpiece!

There will also be amusements for the kids including rides, sports, games, craft, bric-a-brac, face-painting and Halloween surprises. It will be a great afternoon for the young and old. Go and join them for their special 90th-anniversary school fundraising fete.

The Kensington Primary School Fete Committee are proud to host Eucalypt Homewares Art Workshops on Fete Day.

Participants who attend the 30 minute workshops will decorate premade clay bowls with tissue paper transfer. At the end of the class, their creations will be kept to have a final kiln firing and then be returned within 2 weeks.

For more information on how to join in the workshop you can either; email Melanie at or contact Alana at for your ticket queries. Or click on Eucalypt Homewares Art Workshops for more information.

To also help celebrate the 90th anniversary of Kensington Primary School, the Memorabilia Committee will be selling fabulous commemorative tea-towels with original artwork designed and drawn by Kensington students and staff. Great for giving away as gifts or even just to dry dishes! The tea-towels will cost $12 each and will be delivered prior to the 2016 Kensington Fete.

The fete committee is happy to announce that Hensman Street Kindy will be creating and manning a wonderful chill out zone for toddler visitors on the day .

This area will be created in the PP2 classroom at the school and will contain specific activities to keep your toddler amused or provide mums with the space they need to care for their child before they head back out there to shop, ride, eat or find their other children.
