The Australia Day celebrations in Macaulay Road and Bellair Street in Kensington will be nothing short of dazzling.
The festivities will commence at 10am on 26 January 2016 and will draw curtain at 6pm. A citizenship ceremony swearing in and welcoming new Australians to our diverse nation will be the highlight of the day. Other community events will feature billy cart races, Lamington eating competition and dog show. Live entertainment will be strike a chord with the festival-goers. Market stalls will enable visitors to go on a shopping frenzy and eating frenzy.
On its 4th year, the Kensington Australia day celebrations aim at fostering a strong bond within the community while celebrating Australia Day with pride as one united nation. Around 5000 people are being expected at this year's celebrations.
