Market people are passionate people. As a combined entity they are passionate about local talent, arts and crafts, designers, creators and artists. For true market-loving devotees, the Kensington Market is an integral part of the boutique market community.

A minimum of 70 stallholders makes this market truly unique. Think fresh produce, designer fashion, children's wear, jewellery and visual art surrounded by live music and you are immediately transported. Other items on offer include essential oils, candles, toys, jewellery, acupressure, specialty homewares, clothing and accessories, art pieces, bags and plants just to whet your appetite.

Regular stallholders include The Raw Philosophy, Cornell Ceramics, Manicure Magic, Billy Button Designs, Angel Soap Melbourne, Quadretti, Adventures in Resin, Bird & Birch, Karen Allen Art, Ingrid Scanlon Jewellery, Vintage Homespun and ever so much more. A complete listing is available on the Kensington Market website and is well worth a visit.

More than just a market, the Kensington Market becomes a day out with fun activities designed especially for the kids, face painting, buskers and animal farm.

The Kensington Market is held monthly from 10am to 3pm in the Kensington Town Hall, 30-34 Bellair Street, Kensington. Upcoming market dates for 2016 include 17th April, 15th May, 19th June, 17th July, 21st August, 18th September, 16th October, 20th November & 18th December.

If you're riding public transport, take the No. 57 tram to Racecourse Road, Flemington or the Craigieburn train to Kensington or Newmarket train station.
