Offering one of the tastiest banh mi in the Melbourne CBD
Kenny's Bakery Cafe has finally opened their new store on Flinders Lane just off Bond Street in the Melbourne CBD. While they have several locations throughout the city, I had been eagerly awaiting the opening of this particular site as it was just across the street from my workplace.

Kenny's offers a variety of fresh, crunchy salad rolls, hot items such as pies, sausage rolls, and pasties, and sweets including choux pastry cream puffs, iced doughnuts, and slices. They also offer juices and coffee. The service is fast and friendly and you will find yourself buying more than you first anticipated.

On the day I visited, I chose my ol' time favourite, the authentic Vietnamese pork roll or banh mi. Kenny's Vietnamese roll is fresh, crunchy, and not overpowered by too much sauce unlike banh mi offered by other franchises. Filled with plenty of shredded carrot, slices of cucumber, pork, onion, and lots of coriander, it's filling and downright tasty.

I finished the roll in record time and topped it off with Kenny's awesome vanilla slice.

Visit Kenny's Bakery Cafe the next time you are on this side of the city or at any of their other locations. Happy eating and try not to fall asleep at your desk when your lunch break is over.
