Renowned Australian artist Kenneth Jack's son, David Jack, has brought his father's amazing collection of artworks to Adelaide for a very special exhibition and sale event.
This unique selection of art treasures are currently on display at the Koppamurra Gallery at 32 Unley Road, Unley until 12th September 2014.
There are works varying from large oil paintings, watercolours, fine drawings and graphic works such as linocuts, engravings and screenprints.
Kenneth Jack is one of Australia's best known artists who instils the beauty of city and country Australia into his paintings and watercolours.
As a family, the Jacks used to holiday in South Australia as far back as the early 1960s and Kenneth would paint in the morning lunch times and evenings finding subjects as far a field as Ceduna, Birdsville Track the Flinders Ranges and Murray River.
Kenneth had real passion for the landscape of South Australia, particularly the Flinders Ranges and the Murray regions; he was able to capture the mood and spirit of a particular subject and bring it to our attention.
His love of architecture would see him seeking out subjects such the old station ruins to the beautiful stone buildings of the rural towns.
Kenneth's artistic career brings to our attention the enormous changes that have occurred in urban and country Australia. His art has become a historical record and a tribute to his country and its pioneers.
Kenneth's masterly handling of watercolour was honoured in London when he became a member of the Royal Watercolour Society. In Victoria he was patron of the Victorian watercolour Society and it was their desire that they formed the Kenneth Jack Annual Watercolour Award in 2007.
Don't miss rare opportunity to see a rich selection of Kenneth's art in South Australia.
All displayed artworks are available for sale.
