Every year, the Kelmscott Agricultural Show doesn't fail to entertain and excite visitors. Unfortunately in 2020, it was cancelled. But now, it's back and will be as good, if not better than ever! Much like the Perth Royal Show, the Kelmscott Agricultural Show is full of exhibits, rides and most importantly, show bags!
There are rides for all ages and in addition to their very own take on a sideshow alley, there will be games and prizes to be won. The classic rides, like the bumper cars, will all be there. As will the ghost trains and there will also be rides for children. As for games, the clowns, ducks and the shooting will all be there, as well as many other games.
And you can't attend the show and not go to see the animals! As well as the pigeons, poultry and sheep, you can also visit alpacas, dairy goats, and the best creatures - donkeys! If you're looking for something even more special, then there are going to be the personal pets of local school children. The much-loved creatures will be on display from Saturday. They will not be attending on Friday nights.
Speaking of children, they will love the Kids Interactive Zone. The children will be able to try a woodworking stall, which is an incredible time. All materials and wood will be provided. They get to make whatever they like and there will be people there to help them build their wildest dreams. There will also be plaster painting, archery, sensory tables and mini trampolines, thanks to the Out of the Box community. Plus kids can make as much noise as possible with the percussion park. And who doesn't love to make a lot of noise!
Community stalls will be displaying everything from vegetables and crochet, to photography and painting. Food will be available to buy, including homemade honey. Also, make sure to check out the competitive flower displays. Twenty primary schools will be displaying the work of their students. The log chop competition is back this year as well.
The tennis courts will be open from 1 pm daily, where you can play games, meet the coach, or even just watch the games, listen to some good music and take a break.
For seniors and parents, there will be lots of areas where you can take a quiet break and have a cuppa if you want one.
Fireworks are on display Friday and Saturday nights, at 8:30 pm which is the perfect way to end the night, under the stars with friends and family.
Tickets are on sale online now, for adults, tickets start at $21.19. Children under 5 get in for free. You can buy tickets on the day at the gates, but the tickets will cost you more. The Kelmscott Show is only running for the 15th and 16th of October, opening its gates at 4 pm on Friday and 9 am Saturday. Make sure to take your family down for a great day out for everyone. The Kelmscott Agricultural Show never fails to satisfy and impress!
