Cabaret is alive and better than ever!
If you're like me and hardly ever get out and about then you don't know what you're missing.
Having lived through the nineties with little understanding, I was brought face to face with them via this hard-hitting, funny, sardonic and thoroughly entertaining live performance.
Miss Keira Daley is realising her dream of becoming not only a rock star but so much more. Cabaret has never been this good and Keira and her band displayed so much diversity.
Keyboardist and musical director Mark Chamberlain led the bass player and drummer with clockwork-like precision.
Each of the band members was a virtuoso in his own rite and adaptable to any style or genre of music, I'm sure they would hold their own amongst the world's best.
So whether you like grunge, hip hop, rock and roll or blues Keira's voice handles it all with an amazing vocal range. The lady is just so talented.
And not talented just as a singer-songwriter, she goes far beyond that.
By taking unpleasant memories of early high school and turning them into a comical music show she was able to instantly create rapport with the audience.
This is the kind of talent that deserves great noteworthiness.
There was never a dull moment because Keira involved the audience and encouraged them to interact. This was a true people's show, the kind of which is rarely experienced anymore.
Keira Daley vs the 90s is on every night till Saturday 21st at the Sound Lounge in the Seymour Centre.
