For the last five years Kegworth Public School has raised $140,000, which has been used to buy electronic whiteboards, playground equipment, air-conditioning, books and to support the music program. The funds have benefited every single student at the school.

It is their largest annual fundraising event. It brings students, parents, teachers and the local community together, showcasing the school, building great relationships inside the gates and offering a heap of fun.

There are two ways to get involved: becoming a sponsor or making a donation. All the information is on the website in getting involved, so do check this out.

The fun begins as soon as you enter the grounds, there are unlimited rides (purchase unlimited rides tickets on the day or prepay for the armbands and let the kids go crazy – tickets start from $25 – check website for more information), Adults Hoopla and win prizes such as bottles of wine and boxes of chocolates. Or why not sit back and listen to the range of bands and choirs from Kegworth kids and other local schools?

The fun does not end here as there will be a massive Dad's BBQ which includes a sausage sizzle and choripan (chorizo in a roll served with chimichimi sauce and rocket), bacon and egg rolls, Vietnamese rice paper rolls. Food is available all day from breakfast to lunch.

Talking about food, there are plenty of yummy home baked cakes, biscuits and preserves to stock up on. Some of these yummy treats include cupcakes, coconut slice, fudge, meringues and many more enticing treats to take home.

You can try your luck at the lottery with many great prizes on offer; let the kids run wild with kids' entertainment all day on rides and cuddling cute animals. Some of the rides include The Storm, Tea Cups and many more.

This year Kegworth Autumn Fare added the exciting photo opportunity for the kids. This is where the kids are given the opportunity to get dressed up in a variety of costumes and accessories, from crazy hats, wacky glasses to wild wigs. And then snap a Polariod photo of themselves. All proceeds from the sale of the photographs will be going to support indigenous children at Kegworth Public School.

Of course there is handmade craft stalls, the crafts on show will make wonderful gifts for any occasion so do check them out. The second hand book and toy store is also another must 'check out' so you can pick up a bargain.

After watching the kids go crazy, picking up some bargains and indulging on food it is time to relax at the Tea Room. There is no other way to escape the hustle and bustle than enjoying a pot of tea and scones with jam and cream in the shade of the Cottage verandah.

So bring the kids and have a great fun day with the family, while at the same time help support Kegworth Public School to get the much needed funds to build a better future for the kids!
