The Keep It Live Festival's goal is to entertain you and to help support the musical and artistic community in and around the Dandenong Ranges. Running online from this not-for-profit event, tune in from Sat 19 Sep at 12pm to Sun 20 Sep 2020 at 10pm. Once you've got your TICKET for the mere sum of $10, you'll be provided with the link/Festival pass that allows you exclusive access to the entire event via a private Facebook group. The event organiser has nominated to pass on the processing fees to support the event and your support would be greatly appreciated too.
You'll find a full list of the artists featured on the event page and you can download the Festival Programme as a Google Doc or PDF File. One of the artists Anna Vince has kindly put together a playlist with music of people playing the Festival who have their songs out in the big wide world of Spotify. Find it HERE.
Aside from the music, there are also WORKSHOPS running over the weekend dates. Starting with the Festival introduction at 12noon on the Saturday, it's followed by Creative Writing with Tori at 1pm and Sound of Source with Vee at 2pm. On the Sunday, you have Intro to songwriting at 12pm, Paper Making with Phoebe at 1pm and at 2pm, Object Writing with Jonathan Collins.
Explore the power of the word and learn to harness the ability of written expression in Creative Writing, and begin the journey of understanding breath and voice in the Sound of Source. Learn how to put your poetry to music in Intro to Songwriting and dig out those egg cartons and paper you have tons of around the house and put them to good use instead of filling up landfill by making paper. Object Writing is a creative and fun activity designed to stimulate your creative mind. This is a musical event that'll tickle your intellect and creative side as well. Don't miss it. Your local artists will love you for your support.
