Best Middle Eastern Food
A group of us visited the Kazbah Restaurant at Top Ryde Shopping Centre to have an early Christmas celebration. The Kazbah has an indoor and outdoor eating area. Our party of thirteen were shown to a long table in the outdoor area overlooking La Piazza, the strip of restaurants that reflect the modern tone of this shopping centre.
For groups of more than ten people, the Kazbah offers the Ottoman Lunch Banquet. This feast includes hummus, babaghanouj and bread, grilled haloumi cheese, merguez, ma'aneek, sucuk, marinated octopus, chicken shish kebab and lamb kafta shish kebab. There was also fattoush salad, chips with seasoning, then baklava and turkish delight for dessert. There were two people in our group who had special dietary requirements and I admired the staff in how accommodating they were with the dietary options.
As an added comment on the meal, those of us who indulged in Kazbah's turkish delight commented on a "melt in your mouth" surprise – it was not too sweet and not too gooey. It seriously was a turkish delightful surprise.
