Kaurna Cultural Talk and Tour at the Aldinga Washpool

Kaurna Elder Aunty Buster and Kaurna woman Quahli Newchurch for an Aboriginal Cultural will lead a walk and talk at the Aldinga Washpool, the newest addition to the Aldinga Conservation Park. Learn about the local bush tucker and the spiritual and cultural significance of this area to the Kaurna people and their connection to Country. This is a free event.
When: Saturday 26 February, 10 am to 11 am
Where: Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park (meet at the car park at the western end of Button Road) This is an event is for all ages. There will be a very short walk - there is no official trail so the ground may be uneven in some areas, and may not be suitable for prams, gophers, wheelchairs.
What to bring:
Comfortable chair to sit and listen to the talk
Enclosed footwear
Personal sun protection
Warm clothing if it is expected to be cold and windy
Drinking water
Hand sanitiser
Personal medication
This event may be cancelled if severe weather is forecast.
All attendees must comply with COVID-19 safety protocols and check-in on arrival using QR code or manual check-in form.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
