Katandra Rise, a new housing estate located in the northern growth area suburb of Doreen approximately 30km from Melbourne, is having a Garden Party to celebrate the launch their new Community Garden.



The estate, surrounded by bush and wide open spaces has created a garden for the local community to grow their own produce, in a local setting and amongst neighbours.

The opening of the Community Garden is cause to celebrate, see what community is all about and mingle with the locals.

Come along with the family and have a coffee whilst listening to the live music on offer or enjoy the free sausage sizzle. For the kids there will be a jumping castle to explore, an appearance by ABCs Dirt Girl World including gardening lessons, face painting, an animal petting zoo and a ballonist.
