Looks like we did something right…
After what felt like hours of searching for somewhere to eat on a beautiful spring day in October, we found ourselves drawn to Karma Waters located in Moolooba.
As the saying goes, what goes around comes around, so we're thinking we must've done something right! Serving up good vibes and great food, the atmosphere to be had at the beach front restaurant is wonderful.
Like many bistros along the beachfront, they have a great selection of both land and seafood.
What I think sets them apart is not only the quality of the food but the service. The restaurant was packed and the two servers on that day were super busy bees. But they were always attentive to everyone and we were served quickly and with a smile. I know how it can get when it's busy in a restaurant, tensions run high and you have to deal with late orders, impatient customers and just the sheer number of customers can get anyone in a tizzy. But our servers kept calm, cool if not in their element while serving the busy seaside restaurant.
The food was out quickly, fresh and delicious – and what's great is that most of the menu is gluten free (just be sure to double check with your waiter). I had the day's lunch special of Beer Battered Coral Reef Trout served with chips and salad – super filling at $14. While Hubby indulged in their beef burger also served with chips and a small salad at $18 (the burger was huge!).
A perfect midweek lunch out or a Sunday brunch is how I imagine this place as the place to go.
