In partnership with Agency North, WeekendNotes subscribers have the chance to win 2 free tickets to see Karakorum: A Medieval Musical Journey at QPAC on August 7, 2018.

Karakorum: A Medieval Musical Journey sounds like an enchanting evening's entertainment for lovers of music and history. Combining the talents of the Brandenburg Choir and the French 'medieval world folk' ensemble, La Camera delle Lacrime, Karakorum promises a musical journey back to the 13th Century.

Karakorum
La Camera delle Lacrime

Founded by Genghis Khan, Karakorum (capital of the Mongol Empire) was an important citiy in the famous Silk Road trade route. This performance reimagines the music encountered by 13th-century Flemish monk, William of Rubruck, on his epic Silk Road journey from Constantinople to Karakorum.

The production will be narrated by Australian actor David Wenham, known for his acclaimed performances in:Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers and Return of the King; Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Men Tell No Tales; Moulin Rouge; and many other great hits.
