If you would like to escape the city, come along to the Kapunda Rodeo which will be held in the evening under the lights of the Kapunda Harness Racing Club. The night will offer country style entertainment for all ages.



The rodeo is affiliated with the Australian Professional Rodeo Association. Many professional competitors travel the rodeo circuit so you are sure to see some record times being attempted on the night. Events are classed as open, second division, and junior.



Gates open at 2pm, although the entertainment and events don't begin until 5pm. Food and full bar service will be available. Entertainment includes a mechanical bull ride, and there is face painting for the children. Popular band "The Barking Ants" will play in the undercover area until midnight.

Kapunda is easily reached by the main north road in the northern suburbs or better still, come on the Northern Expressway, with access off Port Wakefield road. Stay on this until you see a turnoff to Kapunda.
