Melbourne has so much to offer. I love experiencing new places and events and sharing them with you.
I have an interest in gluten free, vegan and vegetarian diets so I will let you know if you these can be catered for in my reviews.
Kaprica does not have any obvious signage. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the cafe is bustling with people at all times of the day. Opposite Lincoln park, there is outdoor seating as well as plenty of room inside.
It's a little taste of Italy. The wait staff all had Italian accents, and were friendly and welcoming. It's got an industrial feel with the exposed bricks and lighting style. The menus look as if they are hand written and photocopied. It is charming.
We ordered wine from the menu, gnocchi and pizza. The gnocchi was house made with a creamy sauce. It was perfect with the cracked pepper on top. The mushroom pizza was also tasty although a little light on the topping. Wine was served in traditional wine glasses.
Kaprica is not quite in Lygon street, and therefore perhaps overlooked. It's also fairly new. But it is the kind of place that could become a favourite that you will return to again and again. For the fresh food, the ambience and the little taste of Italy right here in Melbourne.
