KangaU presents Jump Into Speech and Drama weekly workshops this school holidays for primary and middle school-aged children. Workshops commence on Monday 28th September, finishing on Friday 9th October and run from a Monday to Friday each week -yes, that includes the public holiday Monday also. There are two sessions a day starting with morning workshops at 10am until 12pm and afternoon workshops from 1pm until 3pm.
Workshops will take you through Australian curriculum standards involving the basics of voice, speech, drama, and movement through the use of improvisation games and theatre sports. Students will learn the skills of concentration, focus, determination, confidence, unravelling their own self-knowledge, understanding their capabilities as a person and having the confidence and permission to express themselves.
You'll want to arrive at Payneham Community Centre wearing comfortable, loose casual clothes, and bring your own labelled water bottle.
Sessions have a maximum capacity of 10 persons per weekly workshop and will adhere to social distancing guidelines.
