Kangaroo Point is located just off the Pacific Highway (around 50 kilometres from Sydney CBD) and was upgraded by Hornsby Council in 2014. The area now provides amazing panoramas of the Hawkesbury River. It is a great place to stop off if you are heading to Brooklyn .




The renovation has seen the area upgraded with sandstone blocks, grassed areas and seating.




You could also make Kangaroo Point your primary destination for the day with breakfast, lunch or dinner at the highly acclaimed Estuary Restaurant . The restaurant provides both an eat in service as well as a kiosk, so you can dine in or grab some take away and a patch of grass. Check their website for opening hours as they are not open everyday or for every meal service.




It is easy to access Kangaroo Point via car on the M1 Motorway (or the Pacific Highway). Take the Mooney Mooney exit on the M1 and follow the signs to Brooklyn. Once on the Pacific Highway look for a brown tourist sign that says 'Kangaroo Point Marina'. Turn at the sign and drive a short distance until you see the restaurant. There is sufficient parking available. Do not take the turn into Brooklyn township.

The street address for Estuary Restaurant is 1240 Pacific Highway, Brooklyn (however we put this in our GPS and it did not find the correct location).
