Kangaroo Island Spirits is a distillery that creates a range of Australian botanical blends. They aim to enhance the flavours present from their local bush landscape and their aim is to try and distil the spirit and character of the island into their gin creations. This craftsmanship is globally recognised and awarded, making this a place that is well worth putting on your Kangaroo Island itinerary.
The creative use of botanicals influences the whole range of products on sale at
Kangaroo Island Spirits , which is shortened to KIS on all their products and advertising and merchandise. If you are partial to a gin and tonic, you have definitely come to the right place.
Gin Flights
Kangaroo Island Spirits offers various gin experiences including the Kis Gin Garden Flight. Guests can enjoy a GinTasting Flight, Liqueur Tasting Flight or a cocktail. The setting here has a combination of indoor and outdoor seating. During winter months, fire pits are in use and create a cosy atmosphere. The gin flights are presented on a wooden tray with glasses, ice and preferred accompaniment. Wild Gin is one of their best sellers and top of the range is their Old Tom Gin, which is a whisky barrel aged gin that is highly sought after.
There is a Cellar Door Cocktail Masterclass, where people can learn to make three delicious cocktails using their award-winning spirits. Try and recreate some classics, as well as their own signature cocktails. Bookings are required. Visitors can join the KIS mailing list and receive $10 off their first purchase. The mail-out includes some great offers for gin lovers and is well worth subscribing to.
Kangaroo Island Spirits has a rustic garden setting with tasty food and hot and cold drinks available for purchase. There is also a selection of garden plants for sale. It is a place to stay a while and unwind and take in the flavours of the bush botanicals.
