Kambah is very much the South-side equivalent of the
Yerrabi Pond Adventure Playground in Gungahlin. It is designed with older kids in mind, featuring a tarzan swing and climbing frame, as well as a massive flying fox.
Kambah Playground was originally known as "the red playground" because most of it was painted red, but it's been retrospectively modernised since the 80s and is much more fun these days.
The organisers didn't forget that most families have more than one child, and there is a second, less-daunting flying fox, as well as "normal" playground equipment built to a better and more creative standard than the average. Even littlies have somewhere to go.
Kambah Adventure Playground is surrounded by lush parkland and picnic/BBQ facilities. And, unlike Yerrabi Pond Playground, it has a treehouse.
