Take a stroll alongside the bright, sunny-filled beauty of sunflowers at this year's Kalbar Sunflower Festival while at the same time helping raise important funds for cancer.
More than just a 24-acre field of fabulous flowers, the Kalbar Sunflower Festival embodies, embraces and invites visitors to share in the symbolic strength of sunflowers to inspire hope, uplift spirits and bring joy. With a 5 pillar foundation and along with experiencing a bloom of brilliant activities, one of the aims of the Kalbar Sunflowers and its Festival is to raise funds for cancer care and research.

The Kalbar Sunflower Festival grew from the single seed of a festival of flowers, fine food and photography which was held amid acres of sunflowers at Kalbar on March 27, 2021. It catered in part to the desire for "visitors" seeking a selfie with a sunflower without disturbing the budding flowers.
Due to overwhelming popularity, the event has upscaled and has now grown and evolved into a major 3-day Queensland Festival (which attracts up to 12 000 visitors) and will be held from 19 to 21 April 2024 providing the opportunity for an up-close experience with thousands upon thousands of sunflowers.
