Kalamunda is a Perth suburb situated east of the metropolitan area. The Noongar indigenous people were the first inhabitants of the area and in 1881, the Stirk family settled and established a property, which they named Headingly Hill. This area is now known as Stirk Park, with their home turned into a museum.
Kalamunda is also home to the premier
craft market in Western Australia, which is held on the first Saturday of each month. Founded in 2000 by the Kalamunda Rotary Club to raise funds for local and international charitable projects,
Kalamunda Artisan Market has grown to be considered one of Perth's premier destinations.
Over one hundred and seventy stalls cover the Central Mall and Town Square each month showcasing quality handmade crafts and local growers from across the state of Western Australia. The market is staffed by volunteers from Rotary and over the years has raised thousands of dollars for worldwide projects.
If you have quality produce and wares and would like to be part of this renown market, please visit the Kalamunda Artisan Market
website to register for approval.
The next
market will be held on Saturday 5th December 2020, commencing at 8.30am through to 2.00pm. Grab your friends and enjoy a day with the girls or family.
