For a very tasty souvlaki, go no further than Kafenes Greek
Enmore Road boasts many fine restaurants as well as the well-known Enmore Theatre. There were four of us this night and we had not made a booking. It was late and we were famished. We then spotted the Greek restaurant called Kafenes across the road from the theatre. Once inside, we were immediately shown to a table. While we perused the menu, glasses were placed on the table and water poured without us requesting this. We were thirsty so the water was welcomed.

As it was late at night, we only had the mains. Two of us had the lamb souvlaki and one had the chicken souvlaki. These were delish; they were moist and appetizing and they came with chips and salad.

My partner had the moussaka and commented it was one of the yummiest moussakas he's eaten. He also ordered the salad of mixed greens, tomatoes, fetta, olives and cucumber but he was sadly mistaken that the salad was his alone. We all dug in to this thoroughly enjoyable dish. We have been to a few Greek restaurants in the past. I would definitely return to this establishment. The staff were warm and attentive. The food was marvellous.
