Kadina Village Motel

Who knew accommodation would be so difficult to find mid-week during the school term on the Yorke Peninsula? After much searching, we finally landed on a reasonably-priced motel in one of the Copper Coast townships.
is situated just a few minutes drive from Kadina's town centre along the main road to Wallaroo. Our en-suite twin room had one queen bed as well as a single bed. It also featured a TV, microwave, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, heating/cooling and a small dining setting.
Upon check-in, we were offered a complimentary bottle of wine or beer, however, since alcohol wasn't really my fancy, we chose the two slices of cake instead. Now, I don't think this is typical of 3.5 star-rated motels in regional SA, is it? Or, anywhere, as a matter of fact, and I must say I've travelled a fair bit around the world.
Although compact, the room was clean and sufficient for our basic needs. As we entered, we noticed another nice touch waiting for us in a bowl on the table. What dearly loved food is made from cacao seeds and starts with the letter C? Well, you've guessed it. The next day three other pieces appeared in the bowl after our room was serviced.
Towards the back of the motel is an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area ready for guests to avail themselves of. There are also laundry facilities if so required. For those with a car, parking is available directly in front of each room, quite literally, as the spaces are rather tight.
is located at 28 Port Road, Kadina. Room rates start from $110 per night and bookings can be made via their
website . Feel free to check them out next time you're visiting the Yorke Peninsula.
