Instead of cleaning their plates - cleaning their toothpicks
In Summary

DeVore's cookbook is all about making food more fun for kids! They are going to learn how to thread skewers or toothpicks with delicious food.

Breakfast Kabobs

Blueberry Flowers
Thread mini blueberry muffins and blueberries with brightly colored cupcake papers. Have the adult bake the blueberry muffins.

Lunch on a Stick

Grilled Cheese on a Stick
Have the adult prepare the grilled cheeses. Then, cut out cute shapes with cookie cutters. Thread the grilled cheese with a pickle threaded on top.

Stick Dinners

Meatball Sandwich Kabobs
Let the adult prep the needed ingredients, such as the broiling of the frozen meatballs, split hoagie buns and provolone cheese. The kid's part is the assembly. The marinara sauce is for dipping.

Mini Kabobs

Brownie-Berry Bites
The adult needs to wash the raspberries first. Then, the child needs to thread a raspberry to the end of the toothpick with a brownie next.

In Opinion

DeVore's chapter on Skewered Sweets does not seem very appetizing. Therefore, I left the chapter out of the summary. However, all other chapters seem fantastic.

The instructions are not very easy to follow. The front and back of the cookbook say "kids" but actually there needs to be an adult present.

I give this cookbook a 4-star rating.
