They say that every dog has its day – and that day is K-9 Capers, a Brisbane City Council led program that provides education and entertainment for dogs in off leash dog parks around town.
This experience is a dedicated doggy day out, where dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome. Obedience training and fun exercises are provided for canines, while their owners can browse the doggy care information booths.
Bonnies Obedience and Care Centre dog trainers are on hand to provide two and a half hour doggy training sessions that centre on obedience, behavioural issues, the responsibilities of owners and fun for dogs. The activities are provided at a beginner's level to encourage involvement from all members of the audience.
K9 Capers leads enjoyable activity sessions where dogs can play games like find the salami or partake in an obstacle race. There are also light hearted competitions where prizes are awarded to the fastest dog or the waggiest tale. Encouragement certificates are awarded to every participant.
A variety of doggy care stalls are provided for dog owners. Peruse displays from local veterinarian clinics, dog trainers, pet grooming companies and doggy day care centres, or receive important information from the Brisbane City Council stall.
K9 Capers takes place in venues throughout Brisbane and is free to attend. Keep your eye on the website for a list of dates and venues.
Whether your pooch is an out of control puppy in need of some training or a well behaved dog that deserves a fun day out, K-9 Capers welcomes them with open arms.
