This venue has CLOSED DOWN - it is now Riservo Restaurant
Juzt Blue is a cosy café located in the Inner East suburb of Malvern East. It sits opposite Central Park, a huge, glorious park that has a running track and is popular to locals with their dogs. Juzt Blue may not look that appealing from outside, but upon entering, it has a cosy and comfortable feel to it, like that of a family home; always welcoming. There is a selection of large sofas, tables or even the window bench. I'm a frequenter of the window bench and usually take my laptop to study, but I often find myself being distracted by gazing into the park across the road.
The coffee is good, and the selection of cakes and muffins always look yummy. I've tried a blueberry muffin and it was light and fluffy, as a freshly baked good should be. Another popular item is the sourdough toast, which comes with a selection of spreads – very filling!
Another favourite is the selection of music; you may hear the likes of Kate Miller-Heidi, Kate Nash, and other alternative artists echoing around the room as you sip your tea or coffee.
Although there are the occasional groups who come here for a meeting, it is not often that it is full of large, boisterous groups and everyone usually keeps to themselves. Whether you want to read the paper, study like myself, or simply have a quiet catch up with a friend, Juzt Blue is the place to be.
Juzt Blue is also dog friendly, and has cute outdoor seats which are fenced off with a white picket fence. You may tie your pup up here, as a bowl of water is on offer.
Next door is the local newsagency, and two ATMs are located on the same block. I recommend getting your coffee in a take away cup, so you can sit down and read the paper for a moment, and then take your coffee or tea with you and stroll around Central Park. There is always a dog in sight, and if you are an animal lover like myself, it is sure to lift your mood up. Stroll down to Juzt Blue for a simple pick me up, or a relaxing catch up with friends.
