Not only is this Award Winning Café winner of the Local Awards in the Campbelltown region, it is also a big winner with your taste buds!

Justinian's Café & Dessert Bar is one café not to pass up. With a cosy ambience, it's the perfect spot to have an intimate dinner, catch-up lunch with friends or a warm cosy family breakfast. Whatever time of the day you get that hunger strike, Justinian's is there to satisfy without a doubt.

The bar is made from wooden planks with a blackboard above tempting you to the café's delights and with both indoor and outdoor seating, it is the perfect setting to enjoy great food.

You walk to the bar to order and pay for your meal and take a seat anywhere you like. You can choose inside, where it is softly lit making it a romantic snug sitting, while outside is the perfect winter warmer with lamp heaters (during the colder season) and the morning sun lighting up the atmosphere.

The staff are friendly, however, more care needs to be taken as our beverages were placed on the table without an explanation of which beverage was what and for whom and it was the same with the mains. The service is bit mixed, as the second time it was a lot better, Overall, the wait staff need to be attentive, other than that, when it came to the food there was definitely no let down there!

Justinian's is certainly a café and dessert bar that offers a culinary wonderland with delicious foods, including tempting weekly specials which cater for the season, making it fresh and hearty. (The special board is located on the wall next to the ordering bar).

We ate here a couple of times as I was satisfied with breakfast and decided we must try lunch and dinner and of course, their 'famous' desserts.

We ordered Justinian's Big Breakfast which offered a generous serving of beef sausages, bacon, roast tomatoes, hash browns, baked beans, eggs to your liking, sourdough bread and coffee ($22). We opted not to have baked beans but to have smoked salmon and soft feta cheese instead and our request was no problem at all!

The Big Breakfast was the perfect way to start our day as it was so scrumptious, hearty and appealing. It was served in a pan with a wooden serving board, adding that homey feel to the meal. This extra touch made the meal more appealing, and with small touches like that, it is no wonder Justinian's is an award-winning café!

We tried the Souvlaki Plate which consisted of two Lamb or Chicken skewers (or one of each) served with chips, salad, pita bread and Tzatziki dip ($17). We ordered one of each and both the meats were cooked to perfection. There was a burst of flavour and the Tzatziki dip combined with the pita bread certainly did take you to Greece! The chips were also cooked nicely, as they were crunchy and well seasoned.

At the time when we visited Justinian's, the Special of the Week was a Roast Beetroot, Spinach & Feta Salad with an option to add chicken on the side. It was the perfect winter warmer. The addition of chickpeas and walnuts added that textural sensation and all the flavours worked in unison making it a dish certainly worth bringing back during the cooler days.

For all sweet tooth's out there, this place is the ultimate "sweet haven" with a tempting dessert menu that will satisfy cravings of all things sweet.

We ordered the Brownie Share Plate served with milk chocolate and white chocolate & macadamia brownies, fresh strawberries, vanilla ice-cream, drizzled with white and milk Belgium chocolate and optional whipped cream ($18).

I was in chocolate heaven! This is the ultimate chocolate lover's dream. The brownies cannot be faulted, they were exactly what a brownie is meant to be; soft and gooey inside and melt in the mouth. Cooled off with a spoonful of vanilla ice-cream and fresh strawberries for that freshness, it was perfect.

It was truly addictive and I did not want to stop eating - if licking the plate was socially acceptable, then this was what I would have done!

The Iced coffee was a treat too, filled with flavour and served with extra 'tempting' trimmings. The coffee was roasted to perfection and was enjoyable to drink. The Banana Milkshake hit that spot and I was taken back to childhood memories of having banana milkshakes from a traditional milk bar back in the day.

Justinian's Café & Dessert Bar also caters dessert for gluten free, dairy free and vegan eaters and breakfast is served all day too, which is perfect if you feel like poached eggs with crispy bacon at 8pm!

It certainly was a gastronomical experience to be tried again, as the food and desserts cannot be faulted at all, just a slight let down with the waitstaff, other than that it did make us return for more!
