One look at Just Tickled Pink, from the pretty pink bows to the candy striped awnings, and you get the feeling this isn't the type of place to get many gentleman callers. Inside Audrey Hepburn's face covers just about every inch of the cafe, and floral placemats can be found at every table.

Just Tickled Pink is a specialised cupcake cafe on Unley Road in Hyde Park. They have a huge range of cupcakes, and their menu can change daily. Just a few of the flavours available include: banana cream caramel, lavender lover, lime soufflé, honey nougat, white pear & chocolate and coconut cherry. They're impeccably stilled, with towering icing in a whole range of colours. They taste good too, but make sure you can handle the sweeter side of life or they could be a bit rich.

The other specially at Just Tickled Pink is their high tea. It is served Tuesday to Friday 2pm till 4pm, and Sunday at 3pm. High tea at Just Tickled Pink will cost you $40 per person, or for a private function of at least 20 people $45 per person. It isn't the cheapest high tea in Adelaide, but they know how to do high tea right. You can even find a guide to high tea etiquette on their website.

At high tea you'll first be served a pink mocktail, which means even the kids can enjoy it. Then you can sample petit cupcakes, sandwiches, chocolates and of course tea.

If you're after a drink at any time there are a range of teas available, you can have these by the pot. Of course there are coffees, chocolates, and iced drinks as well. You can try the special 'pink' hot chocolate, but it is quite sweet.

The service at Just Tickled Pink is always with a smile, and you can tell that there is dedication from everyone who works there. Unfortunately, Just Tickled Pink is just a little bit too twee. It could be compared to The Victoria Room Tea Salon in Sydney, but it lacks real style. If it were toned down a bit, it would be the place to suit everyone, but at the moment some may find it a bit over the top.

Head here with an open mind, and you'll probably have a grand old time. Think of Just Tickled Pink as an eccentric old lady, a little over the top, but interesting and sweet, and definitely worth your time.

You can check out a full gallery of the store at the Just Tickled Pink website.
