On your way into Sunbury, take the C743 for its scenic beauty. Then head on into the centre of town to 37 O'Shanassy St, where you will find Just Planet.
As you head down O'Shanassy, look for the innovative plastic bottle top curtain. Bottle tops can't be recycled and this is better than putting them in the bin. Take a closer look for some surprises.
Norm is the master behind the food and Bordeaux is the master barista who personally roasts the coffee beans to produce a great coffee. He also packages them up for you to buy. On offer today was East Timor Maobesse. My espresso was perfect.
Today's selection for lunch was Mexican Nachos, Thai slaw, Avocado Aioli and Poached Eggs as well as an array of sandwiches, gluten free and raw sweets and desserts. Our lunch glided to the table on spaceship like plates.
The Thai slaw had its syrup like dressing in a shot glass; 'This dressing is good for your thyroid and speeds up your metabolism' informed Norm. We poured as we pleased - all of it, on top of the curly carrots, super fresh cabbage and petals. There were also slivered almonds and cayenne pepper to decorate the slaw as well liked.
Just Planet - Avocado Aioli and Poached Eggs
The Poached Eggs and Avocado Aioli had a melody of tastes with Persian Feta goats cheese, amazing black truffle salt, parsley, pepper and organic sourdough bread with the avocado aioli and perfectly cooked eggs, of course.
Although quite satisfied, we allowed for dessert. At Just Planet, decadence is good for you. We shared a Raw Cherry Chocolate Mousse Cake with firm cherries and a velvety texture. As we finished, Norm was in the process of whipping up another one in his Thermomix.

Just Planet has great community spirit. Locals wave as they walk by, others pop in to discuss seeds and germination rates. 80% of the produce used to make their delicious food grown organically in their own garden or sourced from local farmers. The cafe is involved in food swaps, a seed bank and projects with council.

'We've seen many friendships start right here. Sometimes 6 - 8 people gather around this table and the laughter flows creating a happy contagious positive atmosphere in the whole cafe'.
